SUNDAY SUMMARY

Matthew 21:1-11  Jesus receives a hero’s welcome in the city where he will be put to death.

Isaiah 50:4-7  The prophet speaks words of hope, but receives brutality and shame.

Psalm 22:8-9, 17-18, 19-20, 23-24 (2a)  The faithful one is abused and abandoned, yet remains sure of divine rescue.

Philippians 2:6-11  For his obedience and humility, Jesus is exalted as Lord of all.

Matthew 26:14—27:66  Jesus is betrayed, denied, mocked and abandoned by those who could not hear him.
