In response to those who asked him, “What are we to do?” Saint Peter called those who heard him speak to repent and be baptized, and thus to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

In a free society, people will always complain about their leadership. Whether we’re talking about the president of the United States or the person in charge of the preschool program, the person in command is automatically a target for disapproval and disappointment.

The RCA company was one of the first to develop the phonograph, or, as they called it, the Victrola. Their logo was a dog sitting next to an old-style phonographic speaker with his ear cocked and listening.

He’s gone now. But 50 years ago you could always find him on the corner of State and Madison in Chicago, which back then was called the "world’s busiest corner.”

The Lord is our shepherd. We turn to him for forgiveness.
