Do you ever feel like the “laborers are few” in your ministry setting? If so, what can you do to mitigate the situation?

Jesus gave his Body and Blood so we could share in his life. How does participating in the eucharistic celebration make you feel more alive?

If God did not send Jesus into the world to condemn, why do you think we Christians sometimes do so? Is there a way for us to criticize without condemning?

Have you “retained” the sins of anyone who has harmed you in some way? If so, would you be a freer person if you forgave them?

Do you find the energy and enthusiasm readily at hand to “finish the work” God has given you, or are you perhaps feeling some burnout?

Consider the responsorial psalm for a moment—“Let all the Earth cry out with joy.”

It has been said that the "need is not always the call.” Much need presents itself, but it takes discernment to decide which needs to address and how to do so. The Early Church discerned a problem and a solution: Focus on service at the table of worship was causing people to forget the service of others.

In response to those who asked him, “What are we to do?” Saint Peter called those who heard him speak to repent and be baptized, and thus to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Imagine yourself to be one of the disciples on the road to Emmaus. What would be your answer to Jesus’ question: “What are you discussing with each other as you walk along?” How would you tell the story?

Consider how reassuring are the words of the First Letter of Peter today: new birth into a living hope, an imperishable inheritance kept in heaven, and protection by the power of God.
